During the last weekend of August, Wauna La-Mon’tay held the section’s first lodge induction experience. The attendees were placed into crews and asked to redo their inductions with all of the modern changes, those that national is implementing to the real candidates in the coming months.
These events are being hosted nationwide, as a means to display all of these new processes to our old members, and teach them the updated method of inducting members. This includes sending them through the new ceremonies with their guides, now called luminaries, and new challenges within the same service we were built on.
Throughout these weekends, our members were tasked with both undergoing and understanding the new method of inductions. With this training, lodge leaders are now capable of putting on these new inductions at Wauna La-Mon’tay’s fall induction from Sep. 25-27, and Kunamokst’s own induction experience will be Oct. 16-18, with the same process, open to the whole section to learn our new systems.
