Hello Arrowmen,
Each year we are given an opportunity to grow, to try new things, to push ourselves to new limits, and to become more than we ever thought possible. The coming year presents us with those same opportunities, and it is up to each of us to take them. It is for this reason that I write to you today to offer a challenge as we begin a new year together.
As E. Urner Goodman said, “Our order is a thing of the spirit,” and that spirit comes from the community that we build together. My challenge is this: Throughout the year, at every event you attend, meet new people and intentionally focus on extending a hand of friendship to every Arrowman you meet. By doing so, together we can strengthen our community, and thus the order, ensuring that our organization has a meaningful impact on every member today and for many years to come.
Let us all remember our admonition to love one another, because only when we live our lives by the admonition can everyone experience the amazing spirit of our order.
In the months ahead, I look forward to working alongside each of you as we strengthen the ties between all of us in the section. Thank you for your dedication to our section and the order, and for the opportunity to serve. I’m excited for what we can achieve together, and I’m confident that this year will be filled with progress and meaningful moments for all of us.
Yours in Cheerful Service,
Anson J. Fleck
