Wauna La Mon’tay Fall Summit Recap

A great weekend came in the form of Wauna La-Mon’tay’s annual fall fellowship earlier this month. The annual event took place at Camp Merriweather from Oct. 9-11, with its traditional workshops, activities, games, and—of course—voting.

Members from Wauna La-Mon’tay Lodge met up on Friday to the fabulous theme of dance party, with activities like bracelet making and drawing album covers.

In the morning everyone sat down and took to their lodge chief election—congratulations RaeAnn Li—after which they transitioned into morning trainings which included dance events such as K-pop choreography and line dancing, and crafting events such as bracelet and rave shirt making.

After lunch, the chapters met up again to elect their new lodge vice chiefs. That was, of course,  followed by the afternoon activities, which included a karaoke dance floor, shooting ranges, and the climbing tower.

The day ended with a cracker barrel, presentations on upcoming events, and the results of the event wide games such as the group music video competition or the K-pop flash mob.

On Sunday, everyone met up for breakfast, wrapped up any business they had, and cleaned up the camp before setting off for home after another successful year of fellowship.
