Over the weekend of Sept. 11-13, Section G16 gathered together at Rogue Community College to share in brotherhood, duty, and learning at our section’s annual conclave, hosted this year by Kunamokst Lodge. Arrowmen from every corner of our section came to this event, and participated in a variety of activities.
The section kicked off the weekend with the Star Spangled Soirée, a high-energy dance party complete with music, slushies, sodas, and cotton candy. The next day, the Arrowmen joined together for a morning of trainings, lunch, and an afternoon of fun activities. From soap making to backcountry cooking, or from a fun-packed carnival to flag making, there were more than enough opportunities for members of the section to get the most out of their conclave experience.
On Saturday evening, our section gathered together for one of the more serious elements of the conclave—elections. Through careful voting and deliberation, arrowmen elected new officers who will lead our section until next year’s conclave. After elections, the G16 shows team put together an amazing evening of music, skits, games, speeches, and awards.
Over three days at Rogue Community College, Arrowmen got to experience what it means to be part of the section. While the weekend may be over, the experiences had and the bonds shared will remain long after the last tent is broken down. We hope to see you next year for our conclave at Champoeg State Park!
