Washington National Induction Experience Recap

During the first weekend of June, Section G16 sent a 30 person contingent to Newport, Washington for the last of the six National Induction Experiences. At this event, we got to experience the new induction program by being placed into different crews among people from all over the Gateway Region. This allowed us to meet awesome people and make new friends as real inductees would. Our leaders took the first of three steps to implement this innovative process for new members.

Throughout the weekend, we got to experience the whole induction, including the new ceremonies, the night alone, periods of silence, service projects, and activities with our crews. We also had short training sessions so that lodges could better learn how to implement this process for their new members at their upcoming inductions. The weekend was staffed by our amazing luminaries, ceremonialists, and support staff who helped to put on an awesome event full of learning and growth.

Overall, this event was a great introduction to the induction program and provided an opportunity to connect with other Arrowmen! These leaders are coming back with the goal of bringing this new induction to as many current and new members as possible. In the following months, stay on the lookout for when you can experience this new induction hosted at your lodge induction experience!
