Tsisqan Lodge’s Workshop Weekend has long been a place for Arrowmen to better themselves through engaging in incredible trainings and activities. This year’s Workshop Weekend stands out, however, due to its innovations and many successes.
This year, Workshop Weekend featured something it had not done before: an adventure fair. This collection of booths boasted a plethora of adventure-based opportunities for Arrowmen to learn about, and the engagement from the youth at the adventure fair illustrated a willingness among youth to take advantage of a wider range of Scouting opportunities. Tsisqan ought to build off of the momentum they garnered with the adventure fair, and not only continue it as a part of the Workshop Weekend program, but use it as inspiration to continue to innovate in their events.
Tsisqan’s Workshop Weekend also had many great successes. Two such triumphs took the form of the two on-going event games: the scavenger hunt and pin the clothespin. The fun of these activities coupled with their rather amusing prizes made these games a tremendous success in bolstering fellowship and cheerfulness among attendees. Furthermore, success also came in the form of a near record post-COVID number of Arrowmen going through the Brotherhood conversion process. Bearing thirteen new Brotherhood members, this group is not only among the largest groups since COVID, but it is also a sign of a consistent increase in Brotherhood conversion at Tsisqan’s Workshop Weekend!
The 2025 Tsisqan Workshop Weekend was a resounding triumph for Tsisqan, and it leaves everyone thinking, “What are they going to come up with next?” And I, for one, am very excited to see what else Tsisqan will bring to their program this year!
