2025 Spring Inductions Recap

The lodges in Section G16 have been busy with their spring inductions, welcoming more members into our great brotherhood! Here are the highlights from those inductions!

In May, Wauna La-Mon’tay Lodge had the first induction of the season at Camp Meriwether. There were 100 candidates who joined the order, and another 100 members who helped staff. Together, they gave over 800 hours of service to the camp, with chopping wood, setting up adirondacks, and clearing trails. In addition, 9 members completed their induction through the Brotherhood Honor.

At the end of May, both Wauna La-Mon’tay and Lo La’Qam Geela had inductions at Camp Baldwin and Camp Makualla respectively. At Baldwin, over 150 people attended, and 55 of them obtained Ordeal membership. In addition, there were 13 members inducted into brotherhood. At Makualla more candidates were inducted and provided useful service to the camp. In addition, Lo La’Qam Geela also had another induction a week later at Camp McLoughlin!

Two inductions also took place this last weekend: Tsisqan’s Baker induction and Wauna’s Pioneer induction. At Baker, 23 candidates joined the lodge and 4 members earned the Brotherhood Honor. At Camp Pioneer, 62 candidates were inducted and 8 members achieved brotherhood. The candidates helped the camp by setting up canvas tents and maintaining trails for the summer.

Many thanks to all the dedicated volunteers who spent hours preparing and serving at these necessary inductions! If you’re interested in helping out, you can look forward to the summer and fall inductions coming up! For more information, see g16.oa-scouting.org/calendar.
