There has been some activity these past couple months with lodge inductions! Here’s what happened at the two inductions that took place, Tsisqan’s induction at Camp Murnane and Wauna La-Mon’tay’s induction at Camp Lewis!
Induction at Camp Murnane
The last induction at Tsisqan Lodge took place at Camp Murnane and was a very successful weekend. The ceremony went smoothly, and we welcomed five new candidates into the lodge. Watching them complete the Ordeal and join the brotherhood was an experience, marking them as the newest members of both Kunamokst and Tsisqan Lodge. The weekend provided a great opportunity for both new and experienced members to connect and share in the traditions of the lodge.
Alongside the ceremony, members worked on several important service projects around the camp. One of the major projects was replacing the roof of one of the facilities, which included removing the old roof and installing a new one. We also cleared brush and overgrowth, removed downed trees, and trimmed hazardous limbs to keep the camp safe and accessible. We managed to complete every item on the service list during the weekend, much to the rangers’ appreciation, with 336 hours of service contributed by both members and candidates.
To close the weekend, we held a campfire where lodge members and new candidates could relax, reflect, and enjoy each other’s company. It was a great way to celebrate the work we had accomplished, the successful induction of new members, and the improvements made to the camp. The combination of meaningful service, a well-run ceremony, and time for fellowship made this a very memorable last induction weekend. Any member who attended would tell you plainly that they wouldn’t have wanted the induction to end any other way.

Induction at Camp Lewis
In mid-September, Wauna La-Mon’tay Lodge held their fall induction weekend at Camp Lewis. A total of 34 candidates successfully completed their Ordeal and joined the brotherhood, supported by 71 dedicated members who contributed in various roles, including ceremonies, service, and as elangomats. Additionally, four Ordeal members sealed their membership by achieving the Brotherhood honor. Throughout the weekend, five service crews undertook a variety of projects from clearing trails to removing invasive plant species. Our member service project consisted of demolishing an unsafe adirondack. Thanks to everyone’s efforts, Camp Lewis was fully prepared to host Webelos Woods just a few weeks later.
